Efficiently installed kitchens - with bott, TANOS and Festool

In his work, Alexander Gurov relies on a combination of tools from Festool, Systainer cases from TANOS and a van racking system from bott. The 36-year-old specialises in the assembly and installation of IKEA kitchens. He founded his company AG Küchenmontage for this purpose in 2020. His main area of operation spans from the greater Euskirchen region to Bonn and Cologne in Germany. Recently, we kitted out his Citroën Jumpy with our bott vario3 van racking system to suit his daily work routine. This means he is always safe on the road and saves time every day with his streamlined equipment set-up.

To be able to work smoothly, order and clarity play an important role for Mr Gurov. After the planning phase with his customers, the individual kitchen elements are delivered separately. He assembles them, aligns them and installs the corresponding electrical appliances. He keeps the majority of the tools required for this in Systainer cases. His Festool tools come standard in these, but Mr Gurov also finds the cases very useful for small parts and simple hand tools. ‘The Systainers help me to stay mobile and flexible in the field. I only take the cases from the van racking that I need for the job in hand. They can be quickly connected together, making them easy to transport,’ says Mr Gurov. His CTL MINI mobile extraction unit, also manufactured by Festool and equipped with transport castors, is designed to accommodate Systainers. It is therefore ideal for moving the cases from the vehicle to the work site and back again.

Easy access to tools & materials

After a day's work, Mr Gurov stores his compact vacuum cleaner under one of the modules of his van racking system, and the Systainers are stored on drop front shelves. It wasn't always that easy, as before, materials and tools often lay unsecured on the floor of the vehicle, which had some disadvantages:

  • Utensils, especially small parts, were often difficult to find.
  • Unsecured items could damage the vehicle
  • The tools and materials themselves were also affected
  • Road safety was impaired
  • An untidy appearance had a negative impact on the first impression of customers

An urgently needed upgrade for load restraint

With the bott vario3 van racking system, Mr Gurov can utilise his vehicle's load space much more efficiently in the following ways:

  • Tools & components are easy to find, saving time every day.
  • Systainer cases, small parts and bulky components can be secured quickly and reliably
  • The load bay is tidy and easily accessible

In addition to the Systainer cases, Mr Gurov particularly likes the long item top tray on the driver's side module. He uses it to store measuring tools, needed for sawing kitchen worktops to size. The numerous lashing points on the equipment are also a popular feature - which are used to secure ladders and work trestles between the shelving.
