Bott Ltd celebrates National Apprenticeship Week 2025

Bott Ltd is proud to be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2025, recognising the invaluable contributions of our apprentices and the opportunities available for aspiring professionals. This year’s theme, ‘Skills for Life,’ highlights the importance of equipping apprentices with the essential skills they need for long-term career success. As a company committed to developing talent, we offer apprenticeship placements that allow individuals to earn while they learn, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Our apprenticeships have paved the way for many employees to build successful careers within bott. Pete Battams, who started as a Production Apprentice 11 years ago, is now the Maintenance Manager. Reflecting on his journey, Pete shares;

My apprenticeship enabled me to gain the qualifications I needed while being paid. The most important skill I’ve acquired is the ability to pick up new topics quickly and retain them.

Nathan Powell, now the Production Planning Manager, also began his career at bott as an Engineering Apprentice.

The earn-while-you-learn model was very appealing, and bott’s global presence and innovative products grabbed my interest. I’ve developed key skills such as time management, professionalism, and a strong focus on quality.

For many pupils, an apprenticeship is preferred over studying from textbooks in a classroom environment, as it offers hands-on experience and real-life skills. As bott apprentice Finley McTurk says;

I enjoy learning on the job rather than from a textbook.

An apprenticeship at bott also helps develop key skills such as teamwork, communication, and confidence, setting apprentices on a practical path to career success.

I highly recommend an apprenticeship with bott to anyone interested in a ‘hands-on’ career. The support and guidance from bott has equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills for the future.
