Our manufacturing site is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Bude. Along with millions of people, we rely on the RNLI to provide their service, keeping our community safe in local waters.
The RNLI volunteers provide a 24/7 rescue service in the UK and Ireland. More than just a rescue service, they dedicate time to educate the public by sharing resources, knowledge and training. Our job is to support them by raising money and spreading awareness.
The RNLI runs 238 lifeboat stations, lifeguard services on 257 beaches and water safety campaigns across the UK and Ireland. Each fleet is readily equipped with trained crew members and modern equipment. Without our support, they do not have the resources to continue their service. In 2021, the average cost to kit out 1 member of the lifeboat crew with safety equipment was £3,500, training was an additional £1,400. With regards to lifeboat fleets, the average cost of a Shannon class lifeboat is £2.5M.
