Group Product Manager (BE Product)

We’re looking for an experienced, talented, enthusiastic and organised product manager, to join our established Product Management Team in the UK and across the Bott Group. This role is based in either Bude, Cornwall or Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, but regular travel between sites and across the bott group will be required.

Reporting directly into the Group Product Marketing Director, the Group Product Manager (BE Product) will take overall responsibility for managing and developing the workplace storage side of the business defining the current and future product and services offer for the bott brand, including pricing strategy, accessories, lifecycle planning, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the continuous development of the BE and BE accessories product line in the Bott Group.
  • Monitoring of the market environment (customers / competitors) to identify and analyse trends and innovations.
  • Responsibility for the BE idea pool, coordination / prioritization of resulting project ideas with the sales department.
  • Continuously identify and fill product gaps in our product range through market research and competitor analysis, generate new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Development of a standard master product portfolio from which bott subsidiaries and export partners can select suitable products.
  • Preparation of functional and requirement specifications for new product developments and enhancements.
  • Stage Gate Presentation (decision paper) of new projects to the relevant Bott Group committees (local / group).
  • Elaboration of product benefits / sales arguments / technical data.
  • Provide technical sales support and product training across all departments to ensure consistent product knowledge.
  • Responsibility for the recommended list price of the product portfolio across all countries.
  • Collaborate with the product management, marketing and sales teams to develop effective materials and strategies for product promotion and launches.
  • Build strong internal relationships to ensure smooth project execution and cross-departmental cooperation.
  • Evaluate promotional plans with our marketing team to ensure they are consistent with product strategy and our message is effectively conveyed.
  • Conduct annual pricing reviews and ongoing margin analysis.
  • UK team lead (line report) for UK R&D employees and members of the UK Product Data Team.
  • Represent the company at customers and trade shows to gain feedback on company products and services.

Personal Profile & Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Experience of translating brand and customer insight into product and service requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen including understanding of pricing and residual value management and able to manage regional requirements and relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop products, pricing and marketing strategies.
  • Effectively communicate recommendations to senior management.
  • Technical background with hands on experience working with product management
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams in the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be liaising with staff at all levels.
  • Confident, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • UK valid driving licence.
  • Valid passport.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to speak and understand basic (conversational) German.
