Based from our Ashby de la Zouch site (Leicestershire) OR our Bude (Cornwall) site, we are looking for an experienced SAP Internal Specialist who can help us develop our SAP System and offering. We would be open to this being a hybrid role which can be discussed at interview.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the management and maintenance of the Bott Ltd SAP ERP system, you will possess a solid background in ERP/SAP, both technically and operationally. You will be responsible for implementing any SAP modular enhancements in the UK environment, and aligning the UK SAP ERP system with group requirements, managing business reporting requirements and troubleshooting any local system issues.

You will lead and coordinate demand with SAP Key users and Business Process Owners and seek to improve performance, functionality and consistency of the SAP environment.

You will be part of a group-wide IT steering / alignment team to ensure beneficial and harmonized systems development.

Key Responsibilities

  • ensure stable & solid ERP operations and processes, reliable transactions
  • maintenance and continuous development of Bott Ltd‘s SAP ERP-environment and its modules
  • support the management in regarding definition of KPIs, reporting, etc.
  • monitor ERP performance using relevant set of operational KPIs
  • lead and coordinate system module configuration with SAP Key users and Business Process Owners
  • define and establish best practices, business process and SAP improvements
  • organise and ensure relevant training needs and documentation are covered
  • definition of system specifications when working with external consultants
  • coordinating external consultants and leading internal SAP Projects
  • coordinate new ideas/process and system changes between sites of Bott Ltd in Bude and Ashby with Bott HQ / other legal entities
  • evaluate the current system configuration, and to customise the system, in line with best practice, and to suit the business process across the organisation
  • carry out master data evaluation, loads (LSMW) and cleansing (MASS)
  • define/enhance Pricing Routines/Conditioning
  • creation and modification of forms (SAPScript, SmartForms)
  • this is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks within the organisation as necessitated by business process optimisation and overall business objectives
  • to work closely with all key stakeholders in the business, and deliver all SAP Projects in a timely fashion, realising quick wins whenever possible.

Personal Profile & Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of SAP experience as an IT specialist / consultant, preferably in mid-size / larger manufacturing or production company
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of one or all of the SD, MM and PP modules
  • A minimum of 3 years of ABAP programming experience
  • Knowledge and experience of integration with other systems (EDI, etc.)
  • Effectively communicate recommendations to senior management.
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams in the organization.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with internal staff at all levels
  • Ability to manage SAP projects and present status to appropriate stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and fault finding skills using appropriate tools
  • Eager to learn and to understand business needs

In return, we offer a competitive salary (specifics to be discussed at interview), 26 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays, 37 hours per week over 4.5 days (Monday to Friday), pension, onsite parking and other benefits.

Please note, if you are not within commutable distance of our Bude or Ashby de la Zouch offices, your application will be rejected as this is primarily an onsite role.
